Gelato Strain Origin

The Gelato strain was originally created in California’s Bay Area by combining genes from Sunset Sherbert and Thin Mint GSC. These parent strains are the reason why people love the taste so much!

Interesting Fact: Gelato is often referred to as ‘Larry Bird’. The reason for this is the famous basketball player’s number was 33 and the nickname references its use of the 33rd phenotype (we’re nerds, we’ll admit it).

Growing Gelato Seeds

These are feminized seeds. Female plants, contrary to male plants, are the ones that actually produce weed. They start flowering when they receive less light per day, i.e. in the fall, or when you manipulate the light cycle indoors.

Flowering and Yield

Indoors you can get truly amazing bud in about 8 to 9 weeks of flowering.

Outdoors you can expect to harvest your crop in October at the latest. Your yields are a little above average with 16 to 18 ounce per plant – although not much space will be needed to get the results you want!
